David Watson is an experimental musician, a guitarist and bagpiper. Originally from New Zealand, he has lived and worked in New York City since 1987. His guitar playing has been featured notably in John Zorn’s Cobra and in groups with Ikue Mori, Christian Marclay, Zeena Parkins and Chris Mann. In the early 90’s he added Highland bagpipes. He has created a new vocabulary for the instrument. In 2022 he became the Artistic Director of FourOneOne, an experimental platform in Williamsburg which has produced over one hundred concerts
