CALL FOR MULTIMEDIA ARTISTS BASED IN ARMENIA: CYFEST-15
CYLAND Media Art Lab and HayArt Cultural Center invites artists based in Armenia to participate in the 15th CYFEST International Media Art Festival.

Winners will be announced on June 15, 2023

CYFEST
CYFEST, one of the biggest international media art festivals in Eastern Europe, was founded by a group of independent artists and curators in 2007. Since its inception in 2007, CYFEST’s main concerns have been to examine the dialogue between various visual languages and technology cultures, and thus to explore a way of commoning with both art professionals and scientific communities. CYFEST unites artists, curators, educators, engineers, programmers and media activists all over the world, and creates an inclusive platform for mapping, mediation, and documentation of new media art on different regional and international levels.
CYFEST is one of the world’s few nomadic cultural events: throughout the year, festival projects are presented at leading cultural institutions around the world. Each year, the festival program includes several exhibition projects, sound art, video and educational programs. The organizer of CYFEST is CYLAND MediaArtLab and CYLAND Foundation Inc. The project is sponsored by One Market Data.
VULNERABILITY
CYFEST announces the curatorial concept for their 15th edition of the festival entitled Vulnerability. The 15th edition of the CYFEST will focus on imagining new perspectives regarding the ostensible (anti)fragility of human and non-human body, bio and cyber environments, histories and futures, encounters and relationships with the world in transition.

APPLICATION PROCESS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Interested artists need to complete the Application Form (in English or Armenian).
Applications should be submitted to hayart.cultural.info@gmail.com and competition@cyland.org no later than May 27, 2023. In the subject line of the email, please use the following format, where the first word is your family name: Jones_Application_Yerevan_CYFEST-15.
We are accepting applications for multimedia projects: objects, installations, video art, sound art, performance, etc. To get an idea of the sort of projects we expect, please take a look at our website cyfest.art
The projects should match the festival theme and curatorial concept. There may be projects that you have worked on in the past, or completely new ones made specially for the festival. We provide technical support in production of artistic projects for display at the festival. Please pay particular attention to the technical rider of the project, and describe it in as much detail as possible.

CYFEST
CYFEST-ը Արևելյան Եվրոպայի խոշորագույն մեդիա արվեստի միջազգային փառատոններից մեկն է, հիմնադրվել է մի խումբ անկախ արվեստագետների և համադրողների կողմից 2007 թվականին։ 2007 թվականին իր հիմնադրումից ի վեր, CYFEST-ի հիմնական մտահոգությունը եղել է տարբեր վիզուալ լեզուների և տեխնոլոգիական մշակույթների միջև երկխոսության ուսումնասիրումը, և այդպիսով արվեստի մասնագետների և գիտական համայնքների միջև հարաբերությունների ուղիների որոնումը: CYFEST-ը միավորում է արվեստագետներին, համադրողներին, մանկավարժներին, ինժեներներին, ծրագրավորողներին և մեդիա ակտիվիստներին ամբողջ աշխարհում, և ստեղծում ներառական հարթակ՝ քարտեզագրելու, միջնորդության և նոր մեդիա արվեստի տարբեր տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային մակարդակներում փաստաթղթավորման համար:
CYFEST-ը աշխարհի սակավաթիվ շարժվող մշակութային իրադարձություններից մեկն է: Տարվա ընթացքում փառատոնային նախագծերը ներկայացվում են աշխարհի առաջատար մշակութային հաստատություններում: Ամեն տարի փառատոնի ծրագիրը ներառում է մի քանի ցուցահանդեսային նախագծեր, ձայնային արվեստի, վիդեո և կրթական ծրագրեր: CYFEST-ի կազմակերպիչն է CYLAND MediaArtLab-ը և CYLAND Foundation Inc. CYFEST-ը հայտարարում է փառատոնի 15-րդ թողարկման հայեցակարգը, որը անվանել ենք «Խոցելիություն»: CYFEST-ի 15-րդ թողարկումը կկենտրոնանա նոր հեռանկարների պատկերացման վրա՝ կապված մարդկային և ոչ մարդկային մարմնի թվացյալ (հակա) փխրունության, բիո և կիբեր միջավայրերի, պատմության և ապագայի, անցումային շրջանի աշխարհի հետ հանդիպումների և հարաբերությունների հետ:
